Mike Sutter

With nearly 30 years of experience living in Durango, Mike Sutter brings unparalleled expertise and a deep connection to the local community. As the owner of Sutter Homes, Mike personally oversees every custom home project, ensuring that each build reflects the highest standards of quality and innovation. His passion for creating energy-efficient, human-centered homes shines through in every detail.

Outside of work, Mike is dedicated to his family—his wife and three children—and gives back to the community by coaching high school football. His commitment to both his craft and his community is at the heart of everything Sutter Homes stands for.

Project Architect

Andrew Griffith

With over 20 years of experience designing custom homes in the Durango and Telluride areas, Andrew Griffith brings a wealth of expertise to Sutter Homes. A graduate of the University of Colorado School of Environmental Design, Andrew’s approach combines cutting-edge sustainable design with a deep understanding of the unique demands of mountain living. His designs emphasize both form and function, creating energy-efficient, modern homes that blend seamlessly with their natural surroundings.

Andrew’s personal passions, including his extreme love for his two dogs, Lady and Phil, reflect his connection to nature and the outdoor lifestyle. A former freestyle ski competitor and coach, his adventurous spirit shines through in every project. He is committed to delivering homes that inspire and reflect the active lifestyles of his clients.

Office Manager / Order Procurement

Cody Streitzel

Cody Streitzel, a 2013 graduate of Fort Lewis College, serves as the office manager and procurement specialist at Sutter Homes. With a strong background in organization and supply chain management, Cody ensures that every project runs smoothly, from securing materials to overseeing daily operations. His attention to detail and commitment to efficiency are essential to delivering the high-quality homes Sutter Homes is known for.

Outside of work, Cody is passionate about mountain biking and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three kids, embracing the outdoor lifestyle that Durango offers.
